Dogs have always featured strongly in my life. I grew up with dogs as pets, and throughout my adult life, I have owned and have experience of many different breeds, including rescue dogs. It has become clear to me that our lives are enriched by the companionship of our pets; the saying  ‘dog is a man’s best friend’ has been well proven. 

I resigned as an Assistant Head at a secondary school to retrain as a dog behaviour specialist and pursue my dream of opening my own business working with dogs and their owners. In addition to my dog walking, dog listening and boarding business, I am keen to take my work into schools. Throughout my teaching career, I have been interested in the emotional health and wellbeing of young people.

I believe that, based on a relationship of mutual respect, the unconditional love that dogs give us could also help young people with mental health, anxiety and confidence issues. I intend to develop this business to combine my love of working with children and dogs on a therapeutic basis.  Watch this space for more details!
